February 5 – 4-H Event
Our chapter was invited by a 4-H Club to make a presentation in Wheat Ridge on February 5, 2026. This Club attracts youngsters from the metro area because it has a focus on shooting. Chris and Dean discussed the PF organization, mission, habitat focus, types of firearms, ammunition, gun safety, dogs and hunting tactics.
Chris brought his pointing Lab and Dean brought his German Shorthair Pointer. Both dogs were instant celebrities with everyone and were showered with affection.
There were lots of questions. Some were unique. For example, could a BB gun be set up to fire like a machine gun? Some of the younger folks had active imaginations!
